Contest Rules

HEATS

Make it to the National Qualifier to move onto your National Final. If you top the leaderboard at the National Final, you will move onto the Regional Qualifiers, followed by the Regional Finals where you could be crowned King of Drift!

PENALTIES

You’ll lose points if you hit the obstacles, drift the wrong way, or spin your car. If you’ve got 3 penalties in one round, you will be disqualified.

WINNING

Each of the judges will score you on how well you continuously drift, follow the track, how great your car smokes, and much more. The judges look for an impressive exterior, too. Score big with each of the judges and get to the top of each leaderboard to move onto the next round.

Meet The Judges
ALEKSANDR GRINCHUK

Aleksandr’s love for drifting came from no other than the Need for Speed video game series and the Fast & Furious movies. Fueled by his interest, he kick-started his career in 2007, participating in every competition in his native city of Odessa, Ukraine. 
ELIAS HOUNTONDJI

Born in 1985, five years junior to his brother, Elias did not find his passion for drift racing until 2009 after drifting his brother’s old BMW. Immediately he was hooked on the sport, pursued tournaments, and won them all. A full-on drifting career and team was born, alongside his brother, Joe, “Team Driftbrothers”. 
JOHANNES HOUNTONDJI

Born in 1980, Joe has been an active participant in drifting for close to a decade. Together with his brother, Elias, they form the “Team Driftbrothers”. Joe’s role is more focused on the planning and strategic decisions in the team, providing him with ample experience. When drifting, he is at the wheel of his converted Nissan 200SX.
KHALED AL MUDHAF

Khaled, Kuwait’s first certified FIA racing driver, first developed a hobby into racing as a student in Boston in 2001. Since then, the hobby has turned into a full-fledged career participating in races globally. His passion for the sport and cars has extended into developing his own business venture, G-Force Autoworx, a workshop devoted to airbrushing artists and expert mechanics.
